Dark Souls... The board game?

Postby Blight » Wed Apr 20, 2016 12:59 am

Yes, apparently it's a thing in the works on Kickstarter.

I was perusing Kickstarter and happened upon this and figured there might be some interest here... Or at least get a chuckle.

I was ready to laugh at this but that actually looks pretty legit!
Armored Core has changed.
It's no longer about recreation, originality or ability. It's an endless series of xeroxed designs, made by copycats and sheep. Armored Core, and its consumption of time, has become a hackneyed ruse. Armored Core has changed. Unoriginal players pilot unoriginal ACs, use unoriginal setups. Overpowered weapons on their mech atrophy and degenerate their abilities. Design copying. Weapon copying. Player copying. Tactic copying. Everything is observed, and then copied. Armored Core has changed.

Yeah, looks like they licensed it through FROM Software (Namco) and that they (Namco) have the final say on approval for it.

They'd better give players the option to either co-op or invade the other players.

I'm considering it just by price comparison with Games Workshop minis. The base game comes with a bunch of stuff due to stretch goals.

Yeah, it looks like an impressive value now. I keep buying board games, but I just never tend to play them. I think I just have an addiction to collecting miniatures. :D
