Richard Jordan had everything he was told to want: cars, a new house, and a fiancee. Then
his fiancee left him. So he sold everything, bought a Lamborghini Gallardo and set out
across America. This is his amazing story.

that's one hell of a nervous breakdown.
still, i hope Lamborghini sees this and sponsors him for a World Tour.

really???
that wasn't my point... If you are racing in a toy car with 1000hp I hope you have a Nascar-ish roll cage.
You could be going 90 and still die , lol.

that was funny. I had to bight my tongue to keep from waking my roommate. just seeing it bounce made me giggle, then I saw the bent rim and drive train, then I just bit my tongue.

but only 90? what a boring way to go. If I'm going to die in a car crash, I want to be red lining my engine. I mean just fucking flooring it. I want people going "HOLY SHIT" when they see me crash. not just out of surprise like "Oh, he crashed", I want it to be so splended that it makes people go "DID YOU SEE THAT!? HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!?"

My poor baby... :(

Postby VeilSide » Fri Jun 25, 2010 1:59 am

got rear-ended yesterday by a '99 Dodge Ram 3500 Pickup with a huge cowcatcher bumper guard. :( not even a scratch on his truck.
repair bill is already $7886.92 upon initial visual inspection, but the other guy's insurance company will handle it, even my collision deductible.
the shop hasn't even started the teardown yet, so i'm afraid that there may be heavy frame damage and make the car a total loss.

very angry and upset right now. :( i don't know what to think. i've kept my STi in pampered and pristine condition...
and even if it is a total loss, there's no way i'm going to find another '05 STi with that color, no mods and less than 25K miles.

god dammit all.

Hopefully not or some shops won't align them.
That's what happens when people in trucks become focused on something other than the road.

It's storming bad up here. Plowed through about 2 feet of water and almost didn't make it.
Had to fight the car from stalling on me after I made it through. That's what I get though for being stupid macho man.

to anybody except tofu delivery boys, the idea of driving around with a glass of water on your dashboard may seem ludicrous. but if Toyota told you that a single glass of water could help you reduce your fuel consumption by 10 percent, would you think differently? now, Toyota doesn't want you to literally place a glass of water on the dash. instead, the company is pushing the idea that driving in such a way that a theoretical glass of water there remains full would reduce fuel consumption significantly. to spread the word about this fuel-saving concept, Toyota has created a website appropriately called "A Glass of Water."

so, how do you keep this imaginary glass of water topped off at all times? you must develop a technique in which you shift the weight of the car in a circular motion, allowing you to drive 'round corners quickly and not spill any water. but if you aren't in a hurry to get somewhere, it should be quite simple. begin by accelerating gracefully, leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle ahead, brake gently, and apply tactics used by hypermillers.

you will became so fast (and fuel efficient!) that you will be able to out run any turbo charged car that wants to pass you. eventually, you will spend all free time driving around racing against far superior cars and still beat them, because of Toyota's glass of water technique.

What's the point if Jezza isn't looking for a hammer?

Postby VeilSide » Sat Aug 07, 2010 10:41 pm

History’s ‘Top Gear’ U.S. trailer

the thing they have to understand is that Top Gear isn't just good because of the chemistry between the presenters, or because the prestige of the
program lets them get a hold of the best and coolest cars in the world as fast or faster than anyone else, but simply because the program isn't held
back by executive meddling, at all. if the guys start clipping their comments about cars so they don't piss off the advertisers, if they don't do truly
epic roadtrips into jungles and deserts and race cars against jets and bullet trains and all a manner of other ridiculous adversaries, the show just
won't work.

Top Gear isn't a show about cars. it's not Motortrend's video department, it's a show about making epic films that use cars as a centerpiece.

If you think that's bad, try watching the first episode of TG Australia.
I cringed my way through it, the was just an overload of 'Awwwsttrraaayyyyaaaa'.
Near unbearable.

From that trailer, it looks like I could atleast sit down and watch it.

As for the RX-7 clip...
I hope when I get one it doesn't do that.
Just WTF?
