I was over at my buddies place last night trying to put the timing cover back on my newish Ford 400 motor and come to find out that it won't go back on with the oil pan installed :x . Fortunately it's on an engine stand so I could flip it over and pull the pan off. Found a tiny little ratchet socket and the remains of the factory valve guide seals in the bottom of my motor, again, not amused!!! This leaves me needing a new pan gasket set and valve guide seals, THANK GOT IT'S NOT IN THE CAR YET!!! Seriously, I'd torch the bitch and walk away if the motor was in the car right now.

I'm leaning towards getting a RSX. I've seen them supercharged and so on but I want to keep it strictly NA and clean.
Then save up for a more pricey car.

Hammond is looking forward to it?
If they keep it how it looks now and keep it light it should be fun.
Maybe I just want it to be good.

Well I want an FC, and I wanted it NA but with some porting done and other bits and pieces which would make it cheaper to register and they really aren't expensive cars anyway.
But dad wants me to get an FD, which I find strange.
I've never claimed so insurance will start getting cheaper for me soooooonish.

iI don't mind the front but I agree about the lights.
Of course you can always change all that. A V6 in a civic sized engine bay ... reminds me of working on VW's nooooooo
space for my hands.

Top Gear caught in action. Embarrassing parents.
Two ridiculously over excited parents happen upon the Top Gear team on the A303 and film it for their absent,
Top Gear loving 10 year old son. The son has now disowned them and lithium has been administered.

OK. as I said Earlier, I'm trying to restore my Saturn SC1. one of the things that needs fixing sooner, or later, is the engine. now My question is, should I just swap out the LKO for something better. I'm thinking about getting a H22A or a B18C5, both I can get in full working condition with refurbished engine blocks and parts, the H22A just under $3,000 but I need to pay another $800 for a FWD Manual Transmission. and the B18C5 at $4,160 that comes with FWD Manual Transmission. both will require me to redo most of the wiring and I'll need to cut off the old engine mounts and weld on new ones.

any suggestions?

with that kind of money, you could probably purchase a better car all-around.

i would suggest you save your money and either sell your saturn or ride it 'till destruction.

from the sound of things, you want a honda anyway.

Saturn is a GM product so swapping honda crap into it would be counter intuitive! What you should do is get yourself a 2.2L ecotech motor and see if you can find the supercharger from a wrecked Cobalt SS (or get the whole swap out of the cobalt). Once you;ve got that find the tiniest pully you can find for the supercharger and bolt it on, ENJOY!

I like my car, but I dislike the meek 85 HP the engine puts out. and aftermarket product specific to this engine are rare since it's not really powerful to begin with. I listed those engines because they offer a decent amount of power and aftermarket products are abundant to the point that "it's like dogshit, it's everywhere!".

I was planning on riding the car into the apocalypse regardless of an engine swap or not 8) I do love my car.

I don't want a honda. atleast not a whole honda. I do like their Vtech engines.

OOOOooooooo. that sounds like a good idea. and it keeps it a GM car. and I just found an engine for 4k and has a small pully included on top of other neat stuff(wiring, accesories). though it doesn't have a Transmission. but I can get that for another $800 from the same dude.

you've gotta be fuckin' kidding me.
