Do not throw stones my way but...I actually like Kesha's new CD :? I've heard it on Pandora radio and so far it's pretty good, it beats weirdo hermaphrodite Lady Gaga's repetitive noise ( some of it I like but overall Fame Monster is crap). Flyleaf and Paramour are sweet too. I'm getting older and more picky over my tunes but I'll listen to practically anything ( Country, Rock, Rap, Classical, Jazz, New Age , etc.) :P Anything out there I have to listen to before I die?
One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Listening to various ambient videogame tracks, mainly Resident Evil 1's amazing and soothing save room track, the remake version is just as mezmerising. Also listened to some of the atmospheric tracks from the first Diablo, what a powerfully sinister game that was, I love the cave theme the most with its badass guitar build up.

I wholeheartedly agree, my favorite era of music. Most of my favorite bands came from that time period, so many bands were trying for a new unique sound.
And right now im listening to various old school Tool tracks(opiate, undertow).

"The Ballad of Serenity" - Greg Edmonson
Armored Core has changed.
It's no longer about recreation, originality or ability. It's an endless series of xeroxed metabuilds, made by copycats and sheep. Armored Core, and its consumption of time, has become a hackneyed ruse. Armored Core has changed. Unoriginal players pilot unoriginal ACs, use unoriginal setups. Overpowered weapons on their mech atrophy and degenerate their abilities. Design copying. Weapon copying. Player copying. Tactic copying. Everything is observed, and then copied. Armored Core has changed.

The Police - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic

a little backstory as to why this song is in my head - after work today i went home and passed the fuck out.
during my nap i had a peculiar dream. i was in london, running through the streets with the cast of Mythbusters, of all people.
we were racing against time to reach a certain room with a window in a particular building.
in that room, we would find a high-powered rifle which we would then use to shoot some sort of political figure that would be walking by the window.
and just to make things difficult, we were also being chased by the police. and the mob.

just when we reached the room with the rifle, with the police and the mob hot on our heels, i woke up. only for a few seconds. but then i went back to sleep.
and the dream started over again from the beginning. except now, it was the music video version.

the Mythbusters and i were once again pursued through the streets of London, but i was now just a spectator to the events with the aforementioned mentioned song playing in the background.
every now and again, the chase would stop for a few moments and everyone would start dancing to the music.
and whatever word was at the end of each line of the song would be punctuated by some related object in the background.
for example, at the end of the chorus line "Every little thing she does is magic," my focus would shift to a poster hanging on the wall of an advertisement of a David Copperfield magic performance.

it went on and on like this for some time, and i was enjoying myself immensely.
and then i woke up to my cat licking my forehead. i would normally take this as an expression of endearment, but cat tongues are like ten-grit sandpaper.
so then i got up.

I could comment either

1) Lay off the peyote, Veil

or

2) At least it wasn't Sting licking your forehead :P

Im listening to various tracks from the Streets of Rage games. Easily some of the greatest video game music ever made. Nothing beats those hardcore techno beats as you kick some serious street thug ass.

Heres a good compilation of tracks from the second game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-64UQoUURA

As Axel would say, GRAND UPPER!
